A Match Made in Hell by Terri Garey (Nicki Styx #2)

Back of the Book Blurb:
A brush with death and a brief trip to the hereafter left vintage clothing store owner Nicki Styx an unwilling ghoulfriend to the dead. She can see and hear spirits, and boy, do they want to be heard! Luckily, her new boyfriend, sexy doc Joe Bascombe, is there to help, especially when Nicki faces her latest ghost, a woman in pink sequins who holds the key to some family secrets.
Unfortunately for Nicki, it turns out that there are more skeletons in the family closet than she thought, including a twin sister and a mysterious house full of spirits and surprises. Things go from bad to worse when the devil himself shows up, determined to lure Nicki from Joe's side. Will she give in to temptation and sell her soul (or someone else's) for one incredible night?
Demons may be a ghoul's best friend, but with this particular hottie, it could be a match made in hell!

Review:  In this fast and fun sequel to Dead Girls Are Easy, Nicki is enjoying life with hunky boyfriend Joe, and is starting to accept the fact that she can see ghosts.  When a flustered dead woman named Peaches pops into Nicki's store, and asks her to help find her daughter, who is still alive and trapped in a crashed car, Nicki's life is quickly turned upside down again.  It turns out that Peaches is Nicki's biological mother, and her trapped daughter Nicki's twin sister.  The same twin sister who is still married to Joe.  It's like a paranormal telenovela!  Anyway, Nicki saves her twin, and the girls begin to get to know each other.  It turns out Kelly has "the knack" of seeing the dead as well, and it is an inherited condition.  But when Peaches found Nicki, she also led the Devil himself to the girls.  Turns out the Devil is quite the evil hottie, and he wants Nicki for himself.  A road trip to Savannah to the family homestead creates more question than answers, and the Devil and an evil minion bitch come between Joe and Nicki.
Written in a breezy, entertaining style, this was an enjoyable book.  I love the fact that Nicki is not always easy to like.  Underneath her prickly surface she has a strong moral core and a kind heart, but she is not one to mince words.  She has never searched for her birth mother, and is not so sure she wants to meet her twin.  She has a great life, a best friend, her own home and business, and a loving boyfriend.  But the dead keep coming to talk to her, and she can't escape her new-found family.  The ties that bind them are complicated - a shared psychic ability, Joe as husband to one twin and now boyfriend to another, and a history with the Devil himself.  The story ended with a little bit of resolution, and a whole lot of unanswered questions, leaving this reader tracking down the next book in the series.
